Yahoo is default search engine on Firefox 1.5 in Asia

In China, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, the default homepage and search engine in Mozilla's Firefox browser will be provided by Yahoo instead of Google.

Most likely because Yahoo is much more popular than Google in Asia.

Well, I suppose Yahoo! pays royalties to MoFo or MoCo for that, same way Google pays to Opera for being search service of choice. Thus far I don't mind.
