Firebird is a much better browser than Mozilla 1.5, mostly because of its interface details, though it also seems faster and much less bulky than the standard Mozilla app. Personally, I loathe Mozilla for it's clunkiness and awful interface design. Firebird, on the other hand, is my browser of choice.
Also released was Thunderbird 0.3, Mozilla's mail app designed to be a companion to Firebird. Nice, down to earth approach there.

"Also upgraded is Mozilla Firebird, now in version 7.0. A lightweight browser that has not changed much from its earlier incarnation as Netscape 4.0, Firebird probably will be the future model for end-users, Blizzard said."
Did Blizzard really say all that?
