To branch or not to branch
I'm not sure I understand what's in the different branches:
Mozilla 1.x is Mozilla 1.x. Very easy, since there's only nightly builds or releases.
Mozilla Firefox is tricky. I'm seeing latest-0.9, latest-0.9.1 and latest-trunk. What's the difference between the 0.9 and 0.9.1? And what's in the one and not in the other?
Mozilla Thunderbird is also confusing. Here there's latest-0.7.1, latest-0.8 and latest-trunk. What the difference?
Is there a document describing the difference between those builds. I can see some here but not in regards to the difference directory.
Can someone explain?

To be concise:
- latest-0.9.1 and latest-0.7.1 are the last milestone versions of FF and TB respectfully. Actually, latest-0.9.1 is FF 0.9.2 ;)
- latest-0.9 and latest-0.8 are the AVIARY branch builds for FF and TB.
- latest-trunk are the trunk builds. They share the same source as Seamonkey nightly builds.

I'm not sure, but I think latest 0.9 is the base for 1.0,
latest 0.9.1 is the base for future security, blah releases(0.9.2, 0.9.3)
latest-trunk is base for 1.1,1.5,2.0 and I think the least stable

Normally Fx/Tb branched from Moz trunk for a few weeks prior to release - Aviary is different - want stable branch for 1.0 release.
So latest-trunk is Moz1.8a+Fx bits (will become 1.1+
0.9 is current branch nightlies ie Moz1.7+FF bits (will become 1.0)
the .1 was a one-off 'milestone' to address extention/theme issues - eg Fx0.9+a few fixes.
Same for Tb except different version numbers.
The latest-0.9 already had these+more.
